Boarding Requirements
Orange County Veterinary Hospital maintains the highest level of safety and cleanliness as possible. Our kennel is no exception. For the protection of your pet and others we have the following requirements for staying at our facility.
All dogs must have the following vaccinations current:
  • DHLPP (distemper combo)
  • Bordetella
  • Rabies
Plus have had a negative fecal and heartworm test in the past 12 months.
All cats must have the following vaccinations current
  • FVRCP (distemper combo)
  • Rabies
Plus have had a negative fecal in the past year. If we do not have your records, you can provide them from your Veterinarian via fax (845 294-8264) or bring them in. We can also provide services as needed.
Upon arrival, all animals are given a Capstar. This pill kills fleas for 24 hours and does not react with any other medications. Thus OCVH remains a flea free environment. As a courtesy to our own clients, we will always give them priority during holidays and peak seasons. Non clients will be accommodated as space allows and can only be guaranteed a reservation 5 days in advance.
