For over 100 years we have built our practice on enduring client relationships, gentle patient care and a commitment to excellence.
At Orange County Veterinary Hospital we consider your pet as family. Because we take time to get to know your pet, we can better take care of his/her needs. At OCVH we promote health and well being for companion animals through personalized treatment and education.
We are a general practice that provides primary, preventative and critical care plus boarding and grooming.
"Our goal is to provide progressive veterinary care while educating our clients so that together we can give their furry family member a longer, healthier life."
- Dr. Alan Shanker
SEASONAL HAZARDS FOR YOUR PETS THIS FALL
Now that autumn is upon us, we need to be aware of possible dangers for our pets. As the weather turns, rodents come into our homes and garages looking for warmth and food. Rodenticides are often used to control the pesty mice. However, if your dog or cat should consume the bait, it can be deadly. Call OCVH immediately.
Halloween means candy and chocolate. We all know that chocolate is not good for our furry friends, especially dark chocolate. If you suspect an invasion of your holiday treats, look for upset stomach, vomiting and/or diarrhea in both dogs and cats. And of course call OCVH.
Sweet tasting ethylene glycol (antifreeze) is highly toxic. A few teaspoons can kill a dog and at the very least cause kidney failure. If you suspect your pet has gotten into this type of antifreeze call us immediately!
At VCA, Inc Orange County Veterinary Hospital, we treat your pets like the valued family members they are.
